As Core classes cannot have any prerequisites, the DANC courses that count towards Artistic Knowledge and Experience Core are the Level I Introductory courses (in all techniques) as well as Dance History. • Do you offer a Dance Major? Not at this time. We do offer a minor in dance however. • Is there an audition for the Dance Minor? There is no audition for the Dance Minor, there is however a proficiency requirement of 4 credit hours of Intermediate Technique (in any dance discipline) in order to graduate with the Dance Minor • Are there any opportunities to perform? Yes. At the end of each semester dance minors and students taking dance classes are invited to perform in our “Dance Informance”. In addition our dance minors usually perform in various venues on campus and any one can audition for our annual musicals.
