Which cultures think women are less equal than men and why do they think this?
Ojibwe (Anishinaabe) Women are not equal. They are considered to have power because they give birth. They bleed and during that time they are more spiritually connected and we feared that. We still do in fact. In most traditional relationships our women are the decision makers becasue they are stronger and we are men who become dis-focused more often than not in a day. Traditional relationship meaning those who do not pick up values from other cultures such as Men being dominant or women needing to be in the kitchen. In most cases our culture says it is a womans place to be in the kitchen because they should have the easy work so that they can stay young and beautiful looking. If they were to go out hunting all of the time the sun would wear their bodies and faces. If they were to mow the lawn same thing. We allow our women to make those choices for their selves though.
