I am an English teacher in China. The pay is good for out here, a standard salary for a foreign teacher is about 5000RMB a month and usually an apartment will be included. This does not translate as a lot of money in Europe/America etc but in China you can live like a king on that kind of money. It is about 3 times the amount of a Chinese English teacher’s salary. Perks with teaching abroad are less materialistic and more rewarding. Just living in, working in and experiencing another culture is tremendous!
