It’s not that simple. Without any of the major Allied powers and Axis victory becomes a likely outcome. Each of them was necessary to defeat Germany. I don’t believe that notion that the tide had turned already by 1942. Without US equipment and involvement the British victory in late 1942 at El Alamein would not have been possible. Without the huge amounts of lend lease the Russian war effort would have stalled. And the Russians had not achieved a decisive victory, simply bought some time. If you take out any of the major Allied players, the Germans have a much easier time of it. Without England western Europe becomes completely secure, freeing up much more resources for the east. Without Russia, England would have been standing alone, unprepared for what they had to deal with. Without the US entering the Allies would not have had the manpower and materiel to launch any significant offencive into Europe.
