Which conditions of the adrenal glands should be treated laparoscopically?
Mainly those which produce substances that give patient symptoms as Cushing’s (excess Cortisol) Conn’s (excess aldosterone) or Phaeochromocytoma (excess of adrenaline). When there is no substance production, size will be the main indication for removal of an adrenal tumour, with 5 cm being the universally accepted size for excision.
