Which company and or type of potting mix do you believe works best with cacti?
I think Miracle-Gro makes a cactus potting mix and their mixes are usually quite good. In any case, with cacti you want a potting mix that drains quickly. You don’t want it holding onto water for too long as it will be damaging to the roots. You also don’t want something that packs a lot of nutrients in the form of organic material. Cacti in nature don’t have gourmet diets and won’t tolerate the same sort of nutrient conditions that most houseplants, with their tropical origins, are used to and need.
