Which colour carpet will match light yellow walls and maroon colour curtains and furnitures ?
Oh dear, I would never put light yellow walls and maroon colour curtains together in the first instance. Maroon is very dominant and does not tone naturally with any shade of yellow. To calm things down I would repaint the walls a deep cream or ivory colour. If you cannot change the curtains then I would in fact try and match them by having a carpet in the same colour – that being so it is even more important to have a pale neutral wall colour as I suggested. Dark wooden furniture such as mahogany or rosewood would work well but again upholstery and cushions should be pale cream or ivory to give a constrast and lift. Subtle lighting again is most important. Use table lamps rather than harsh ceiling lights.
