Which codecs are available when editing digital audio and video?
During project setup, editing, import or export digital video, the available codecs are determined by the file type you choose in the Export Movie Settings dialog box. Not all codecs are compatible when you import/export files cross-platform. You can evaluate codecs by their intended uses, compression methods, and how they handle different kinds of pictures or sound. Check out accepted file types between the software programs you’ll be using for compatibility.
