Answer Happy Thanksgiving, Virginia. Thanks for your interest in West Point. I apologize for the delay in responding. George Armstrong Custer graduated 34th out of 34 in the Class of June 1861. As to top graduating Civil War or American Indian Fighter generals, I could not find any that are “household” recognizable names. Robert E Lee did graduate second in the Class of 1829.
