Which city should stage WWE’s WrestleMania PPV for the first time?
Welcome to the latest Roundtable discussion here at iFight365.com where this week, we’re asking the question: Which city would you like to see host a WrestleMania that hasn’t done so yet? Phil Lowe: A number of my fellow Brits would love to see WrestleMania take place in the UK. The immediate reaction to that tends to result in a thinking that the buyrate will be hurt as potential buyers in the U.S won’t pay to watch a PPV that is airing on a delay of several hours. Granted, going back to 1992 when the company staged Summerslam from Wembley Stadium in London, England, the buyrate wasn’t great and I’m sure that many look at that as a reason not to stage the show overseas now. But times have changed, the product has changed and to an extent, the UK fan base has changed. WWE should be looking at staging a major PPV from the UK – and beaming it back to the States live. That would mean a show going on until the early hours of the morning here in the UK, but as a one-off and for a major PPV
