Which Christian traditions and practices have pagan origins?
Let me see if I can get a good list. I can assure you it won’t be complete by any means. 1) Salvation. 2) Easter 3) Christmas 4) Several saints were revered as pagan goddesses or gods. One of the more loved would have been Brigit 5) The concept of Monotheism was first pagan 6) A god born of a woman to die for the sins of others. 7) Virgin birth 8) Hell (given it’s name after mutilating the name of a Norse Goddess) 9) Easter eggs (ancient symbols of fertility) 10) Christmas trees and associated things such as trees and mistletoe 11) eternal life 12) The cross 13) Baptism I’m sure I’m missing several here. There are several books on Amazon you could purchase or you could probably locate at your local library.
