China is building up 18 modern intermodal terminals capable of handling 0.5 million to 1million TEU per year. They are: Coastal: Dalian, Tianjin, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. Inland: Shenyang, Harbin, Beijing, Zhengzhou, Jinan, Wuhan, Chengdu, Kunming, Xian, Lanzhou, and Urumqi.
