Children must be referred by an SLT from Tameside and Glossop Primary Care Trust, or the CLASS Workgroup Leader and meet both the following criteria: • Social communication and interaction difficulties must represent the child’s primary area of need and, • The children must attend a Tameside mainstream school or resource base and be known to the CLASS Workgroup. Children not meeting these criteria remain the remit of the Primary Care Trust Speech and Language Therapy Service.
