Without question, it is the Bishop who reigns supreme on those 64 squares. No other piece is so stream-lined, graceful; and yet, powerful. While the Queen rules (albeit, beneath and in servitude to the King) she is ungainly in comparison to the Bishop. Additionally, the Bishop exemplifies unparalleled superiority when played in conjunction with a single Pawn (not to mention, 2 Pawns). I’ll trade a Rook for a Bishop & a Pawn any day!
