Which chemical pollutants discharged from nuclear installations are known to be harmful?
So far as nuclear power plant is concerned, no chemical pollutants are discharged. However, from facilities such as spent fuel reprocessing, Uranium plant, Nuclear Fuel Complex, Rare Earth Plant etc., normal chemical pollutants viz nitrogen Oxides, nitrates etc. are processed in the clean up systems and are discharged to environment within permissible limits.
