Which challenges do humanitarian aid workers face when they work in Pakistan?
Security is a major concern. Many organisations have therefore withdrawn their international aid workers from several parts of the country and now manage their projects in remote control from Islamabad. Presently the humanitarian space, in which aid workers can work, is becoming ever smaller in Pakistan. Due to countless bomb attacks in the past months, security has been stepped up in the whole country. This also affects our local personnel in Pakistan. Even so, we can still efficiently offer help in our projects and reach many people.
