Which celebrity chef is known as the Barefoot Contessa?
Ina Garten got the name “Barefoot Contessa” from the store she used to own in the Hamptons. She bought out the original owner (who was the one who named it Barefoot Contessa, after the old movie of the same name). She ran it for a number of years before selling it, but continues to write cookbooks, market food products and do her FN TV show under the name “Barefoot Contessa”. She’s quite enjoyable to watch and her food is pretty good, at least all the recipes I’ve tried, anyway. And the way she and her husband interact is very sweet!
