Which calcium supplement should I use, calcium carbonate or calcium citrate?

0

Calcium citrate is better absorbed as it is organic calcium. Inorganic calcium such as calcium carbonate is not absorbed as well. All organic supplements are absorbed better than the inorganic ones. For example, ferrous fumarate and ferrous gluconate are organic iron supplements and they are better absorbed than ferrous sulphate which is an inorganic iron supplement. Another example is magnesium amino acid chelate which is organic magnesium and it is better absorbed than magnesium oxide which is inorganic magnesium.
