Which cabinet posts and White House staff positions will President-elect Obama announce first and why?
Bret Baier on The Cabinet He will likely choose his chief of staff first. Then, the cabinet positions will be rolled out. I suspect in these tough economic times – Treasury Secretary may be first, then State and Defense. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson has agreed to stay on to help with the transition beyond January 20th (Inauguration Day) – showing just how serious the transition at Treasury will be. Expect a few Republicans to fill some big jobs. My guess is that at least three Republicans will be in Obama’s cabinet.
