All toothpastes contain a restricted maximum amount of abusive agent in order to avoid excessive erosion of dental enamel. Therefore the cleaning value of the toothpaste is comparatively limited, and in most circumstances will be equal. The frequency and method of cleaning together with the type of toothbrush used, electric or manual, will have a far greater effect upon the cleaning efficiency.
