Which Branches of the Armed Forces Offer Reserve Tuition Assistance?
The various branches of the U.S. Armed Forces handle reserve tuition assistance differently. Currently, the following branches offer some sort of tuition assistance for members of the reserves: • U.S. Army • U.S. Air Force • U.S. Coast Guard The U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps do not currently offer tuition assistance to reservists. However if a member of the U.S. Navy Reserve or the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve is called up to active duty for an extended period, they become eligible for the military educational programs in place for active-duty personnel.
