The first book from C.S. Lewis to be made into a big screen movie was The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in 2005. Prior to that there were various tv movies and series made perhaps the most popular being the BBC television adaptions of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Silver Chair. The BBC version as well as the recent movies are available on DVD.
