Which boils faster: hot or cold water?
Answer The rate at which two bodies of water at different temperatures will begin to boil depends on additional factors other than temperature alone. All things being equal, such as pressure and impurities in the water, then the warmer water will boil first due to the higher energy state of the water molecules.
