Sports Taekwondo Australia has been established by the Oceania Taekwondo Union (OTU), which is the regional association of the World Taekwondo Federation. Hence, STA is recognised by both OTU and WTF as the organising body for selection events in Australia and the entry of Australian athletes for non-Olympic events.
