Which bike is better the norco atomik or the Giant Glory dh1 09?
Unquestionably the Giant… It’s not even a close fight to be honest. The Norco Atomik is a decent bike, solid enough but quite heavy (44-45lbs) and not particularly great at anything. It’s truly an ‘entry-level’ DH bike. The FSR suspension is solid enough and will handle well but it’s nothing to write home about and wont ever be anything more. The components are decent but nothign special at all. The Giant uses the Maestro suspension design, essentially a copy of the DW-Link. If you’ve never ridden a DW or Maestro bike, it’ll blow your mind. I’d have to say the Maestro/DW design is my favorite suspension design. It’ll handle much better than the Atomik in every aspect… pedaling, braking, bump sensitivity… every aspect you can think of. Add to that, the components are better across the board except for maybe the brakes (not a fan of Hayes brakes myself) and the fact that the Glory frame can grow with you and get better just by upgrading parts over time… You can buy the Glory now
