Which Beach Boys album was important due to its connected thematic content?

The album was called “Smile”. The songs were connected by an Americana theme and had 3 medleys. It was the next album written after “Pet Sounds” and was to be released right before The Beatles’ “Sgt. Peppers” album and was thought by many to be just as influential, but was shelved in 1967 for various reasons. Brian Wilson (whom wrote the music) rerecorded the album with his band in 2004 and released it as “Brian Wilson Presents SMiLE”. I highly recommend it.
