Which Bang & Olufsen MX television should I buy and why?
There are two most common sizes of Bang & Olufsen MX television – the 21″ and the 28″ Of the 21″ versions, it is worth sticking to the Bang & Olufsen MX4000, 4002 and 4200. The others will be getting old and will have problems integrating with any modern equipment. These sets are extremely good value for money and are an excellent introduction to Bang & Olufsen, making an attractive bedroom or kitchen set. In addition to being an excellent small TV, they also have sockets for active loudspeakers and can be used in a link room to control your main room Hi-Fi and channel the sound through the active speakers. The 4002 was particularly useful as it had a Masterlink socket which allowed very easy connection to a through-house system. The 4200 was the last of the series and was actually much more like a Beovision 1 in operation. If you need the Masterlink function, check it is fitted.
