Which authors have written about utopia?
Sir Thomas More wrote the first novel about an ideal world separate from the material one. In our time, Lois Lowry wrote about a community that appears utopian and perfect in the beginning but turns out to be somewhat of a dystopia as emotions and all humane feelings are eradicated. The Giver is that book. Some other authors have experimented with the utopian/dystopian format, such as George Orwell with Nineteen Eighty-Four along with the novel Brave New World (not written by Orwell). Utopian nations or societies are on the mind of creative authors as perfect worlds are thought up of frequently.
