Hi, For a Compaq Presario C740TU Notebook PC running Windows XP, audio drivers would be for Conexant High-Definition Audio. Importantly, SoftPaq Number SP31994, “Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio,” (or later) must be installed on the notebook before installing SP32823. sp31994.exe 1/1 (6.12M) (ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp31501-32000/sp31994.exe) sp32823.exe 1/1 (6.12M) (ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32823.exe)Hope this be of initial help/idea.
