Which artists were part of the Cubist movement?
The pioneers were Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, with Juan Gris and Fernand Léger joining in a bit later. Two sculptors are considered the first Cubist sculptors: Jaques Lipchitz and Henri Laurens. French artists associated to the Cubists are Robert Delaunay, Louis Marcoussis, Jacques Villon, Jean Metzinger, and Albert Gleizes. This would be the core group. Cubism had its effect on many other artists all over the world, and artists as diverse as Piet Mondrian, Marcel Duchamp or Franz Marc, or the Italian Futurists were influenced by Cubism.
