Which Artists are Overrated, and Which Neglected? Monday January 10, 2005Ever heard of Jan Lievens? When he and Rembrandt were young, Lievens was considered the more talented, but he never made it into the art history books… This is but one example in an intriguing article entitled Underrated/Overrated published in Art News Online. I anticipate many hours of pleasure tracking down examples of the work of the “underrated” artists.
