Which are the so called “green card” jobs?
The whole green card job movement was set up to encourage legal immigration through green cards instead of illegal immigration. Because the common jobs that illegals do (brutal yard work, picking on farms, slave labor, etc) are terrible bottom of the barrell jobs, the idea is to encourage people to go the legal route, get a green card, and come here legally. As an incentive they want to offer better jobs so they have a reason to do it legally and have a better lifestyle. Hence the “green card” jobs. Greencardjobs.org explains the program in detail.
