Which are the most famous missing ships- and is it likely any of them are within SCUBA depth?

Well other than the Titanic, I don’t know how you define ‘most famous’ but there are thousands of sunken ships, probably only a small percentage of which is the location known. It is likely that many of them are within SCUBA depth, basically because ships tend to sink around the coast in shallow water. Some ships may sink in the open ocean, but the majority sink after they hit rocks near to shore. There are several problems in finding wrecks however. First if you just jump in the water and swim around you’re unlikely to find anything. Second ships in coastal area’s tend to degenerate quickly. Within 20 years there may well be very little left that looks much like a ship. So it’s difficult to find anything recognisable.
