Which are the Critical Success Factors for realising e-government?
The realisation of e-government affects everyone either as citizen or public worker but also all kinds of companies and organisations from private businesses to public organisations and to non-profit organisations. The role of leaders is of paramount importance for the success of realising e-government; these will come from politically elected and appointed executives, legislators and overseers, Chief Executive Officers and Chief Information Officers (in USA) of both government agencies and private businesses, general managers and civil servants, and interest groups ranging from professional associations to poverty fighters As the role of government is very complex and affects everyones life, the transition from government to e-government should be carefully planned.
