Which are the best residential areas in Birmingham?
Some good places have been suggested by the others, Bournville and Edgbaston are both very nice, and like all nice areas, they’re expensive, but there may be some affordable 2 bedroom properties available. Solihull is going to be even more expensive, and it’s a longer train ride to New Street station. If you don’t mind using buses to get into the city centre, there are lots more places to consider, such as Kings Heath, Moseley (there is talk of resurrecting the train service to those two places), Hall Green (has a train service, but it stops at Moor Street), and places like Kings Norton and parts of Northfield are on the line through Bournville.
