Which antidepressant is better????
Different meds work better for different people. It’s kind of a “trial and error” sort of deal. You need to work closely and honestly with your doc here, so they can evaluate your symptoms and put you on the drug that they think would be the best match for you. I’ve been on just about every antidepressant under the sun at one point or another. The winners, for me at least, have been Prozac and Remeron. I was on Prozac for years, then it stopped working. I have been taking Remeron for about a year now, and haven’t had any problems with it to date, just some mean sugar cravings, and therefore, a little weight gain. Then again, both of the drugs only worked for me at the maximum recommended doses, but my condition has proven to be rather treatment resistant. Zoloft, on the other hand, induced my first manic episode… not a fun way to find out that you’re bipolar. So I’d stay as far away as possible from it if there’s a history of manic depression in your family. Don’t give up hope! There
