Which actress would be fit enough to play Anne of Green Gables?
Anne grows up quite a lot through the course of the stories, so the actress would need to be young enough to pull off thirteen convincingly. If you are referring just to the first book, I am not sure that there are many widly known actresses who would fit the part very well. Think of the youngest actresses we hear about in America; Lindsey Lohan, Hillary Duff…although they may be talented, they are either already too old, or simply do not have the qualities it would take. I would imagine that some fairly “unknown” actress would be cast, perhaps one trained mostly in stage acting.
