Which abrasive British Prime Minister had the nickname Lord Pumice Stone?
This was the nickname of “Lord Palmerston” He was a Prime minister of Queen Victoria, he served 2 terms in office, and was in place almost continuously between 1807 and 1865 when he died, aged 80. He gained the nickname due to his somewhat abrasive, no-nonsense approach. Another nickname of his was “Pam”, of which I’m sure he was not amused.
