I would honestly just go for the most affordable. Remember, those devices are meant for temporary storage. Always back up your images to a DVD+R (which is the perfect, and affordable safe way to store). I have a small usb drive to move files around. But I store up 4GB worth of photos from my camera, and then burn 2 copies. One I use, one I store away.
