Which 2 ways the canoes and sail boats are simialr?
Similarities: 1. They both must displace their own weight in water, plus the weight of everything they carry. Otherwise they’d sink. 2. They both require hull shapes that reduce drag as much as possible because their power source is not that powerful. Differences: 1. Sailboats require a deep keel to counteract the effect of the wind on the sails. Canoes do not. 2. Canoes can travel when there is no wind. Sailboats cannot (unless they cheat and use an engine).
