1) Whether it was possible to still have chlamydia even after being treated for it? Yes, since you need the ofloxin with the azithromycin 2)I was treated for a UTI one week before being treated for chlamydia. And now my UTI is back. I was wondering if azithromycin did not work for the chlamydia or whether I just have a UTI? Could be but probably neither were treated adequately since the germ is getting more resistant. I am aware that it probably would be best to see the doctor again but I thought that once someone got medication for a curable disease then they would be cured. If chlamydia is still in me, I don’t want the doctor to open me up again. Yes, but you need to be recultured then treated more thoroughly and for a longer period of time.
