See the previous FAQ. Besides the security issues, the lack of a decent, completely cross-platform WYSIWYG editor (i.e., one that would work properly in Windows, Linux and the Mac more or less regardless of browser) was another reason why I didn’t go for online editing – Wiki markup will only go so far, and I’m willing to wait until I can deliver a truly decent user experience for online editing. And yes, I’ve tried all the usual JavaScript-based editors (and a few Flash editors as well). None of them are really up to scratch yet, as far as I’m concerned.
