WHERES THOSE iMAC USB AUDIO DRIVERS?
The iMAC is Apple’s first Mac to offer a USB port. Apple IS intensely motivated in providing as much support as needed for USB devices connected to the iMAC product line. However, they are a bit new at USB audio development and are quickly catching up to having the driver support now found in WIN98 systems. Look for those iMAC USB audio device drivers to be released any day now and likely available at the time this article is published. The DATport (with apple USB drivers) is going to make that cute little iMAC about as good for digital audio as it is for the Internet surfing.
