Wheres the difference between Team Micro Arena and a normal StarCraft game?

Well, there are two basic game types possible on the battle.net – melee and ums. Best known and usual is the melee mode: Two or more guys guys have individual bases and start to expand. They create more buildings, enhance the technology and produce units to finally attack and destroy the opponent. This needs some good macro skills. The other game type is called ums – use map settings. This is used to play maps which have special objectives and differ from the original ‘build and destroy principle’. There are thousands of ums maps like the countless defense maps. Team Micro Arena maps are ums maps too. Compared to melee games, you almost don’t need any macro. You primarily focus on your micro what makes the gameplay very fast and action-packed.
