Wheres the best place to eat in Grand Central Station, NYC?
My choice would be Cafe Centro – it’s not in Grand Central Station, but it’s in the same building. The main entrance to Grand Central is on 42nd and Vanderbilt – Cafe Centro’s entrance is on 45th and Vanderbilt (you can walk through the building, don’t have to go into the street. If you take the escalator up from the main terminal room, you are in 200 Park Avenue. There are a number of restaurants in that building; my favorite is Cafe Centro – an excellent brasserie. Some wonderful things to get there are the crab cakes, the lobster risotto, seafood, pommes frites. You can get a seat near the window if you like people watching, but I find the booths more comfortable. You can watch the food being cooked and the desserts being prepared in the open kitchen. Right next to Cafe Centro, they have a bar that has a different menu – great burgers. If you don’t get dessert with your meal, you can always go back into Grand Central and get a piece of cheesecake at Junior’s in the food court downst
