Strong winds blow down the leeside of the Rocky Mountains. With recent Kyoto related subsidies to encourage wind power development, there is considerable interest in it here. A series of promotional articles in the Lethbridge Herald prompted a letter to the editor noting that the wind power industry rarely mentions the unreliability of the wind as an energy source.
