Where would be a good place to get married if not part of a church?

You can have the reception and ceremony in the same place. There are a lot of places out there that will do that. If you want to go with a church, just take out your phone book and start making some calls (although I would stay away Catholic Churches because there are a lot of requirements there). Just call up and say, “Hi – I’m getting married in September. Right now I am not currently a member of a church, but I would like to be married in a church. Is this something that our church/pastor would consider?” If they say yes simply ask them what steps you need to take in order to do this… Don’t worry – you’ll find a place. But they might charge you a little bit more if you aren’t a member.
