Where would be a good cheap place to get married in a small country town?
If it won’t be cold where you live do it in a backyard! Look on craigslist or something for an arch to stand under…we were married in a little church. We knew the pastor and he let us use it for free (my husbands’s stepmom is a minister and married us.) To save money, it is nothing to have a full meal for fifty people if your family makes it. Have just your mom and a friend or aunt cook everything…we didn’t even use chafing dishes, we just rented little skirts for the electric roasting pans. We bought a bottle of champagne for each table (you could get away with like 5 bottles), had a keg, and bought soda (pop) in cans which we put in a big bucket of ice. You can do a wedding for very cheap and have it look wonderful if you pay attention to the little things…we spent less than $1000 on ours and spent 3 months planning, and our friends spent $14,000 and 1 year planning, and ours definitely turned out nicer!
