Where will the money from a junior license go?
The money will go to programs all across the state in the form of grants, training opportunities, equipment purchases, promotional materials or new statewide programs. The Commission wants to see programs for youth all over the Commonwealth, not just in urban or rural areas. One program that could benefit from youth license revenue is the Commission’s new Sportfishing & Aquatic Resource Education Grant Program which provides funds on a competitive basis to organizations and local agencies involved in offering fishing programs. Grassroots efforts are sometimes the most effective, and we want to help you reach new anglers in addition to our efforts.
