The Centre Pompidou-Metz will be located in the Amphitheatre district, a new development covering 50 hectares near the TGV train station and the historical city centre. Work is underway on the Western part of the district by a team of architects and urban planners, led by Nicolas Michelin. The Centre Pompidou-Metz will be its cornerstone, and its front square, gardens and underground car park will be built at the same time.
